Frequently Asked Questions:

video editing:

I work with marketing agencies, personal brands, and companies that use video as a regular part of their organic outreach strategy.

Whether you’re a marketing agency producing videos for your clients or a personal brand publishing videos on your own, I can help you with the editing.

Please note, if you need an editing partner that focuses on paid advertising, animations, or motion effects, I may not be the best fit for your needs at this time.

I’ve produced videos that have amassed hundreds of thousands of views on Youtube, Instagram, and other top social media platforms. Naturally, I’ve helped my clients substantially grow their audiences -in some cases, more than 60-80% .

Some of the industries include real estate, health care, financial services, and the pet industry, among many others.

Most communication is done via email (emilchristiopheredits@gmail.com).

I no longer support Whatsapp or other messaging apps, but I often review these on a case by case basis. If you need a large, consistent volume of videos processed, I may be able to accommodate you.

With regards to cloud storage, I can support Google Drive and Dropbox. Frame.io and other platforms supported on a case by case basis.

I can jump on an initial zoom call to get to know each other. However, from experience, the most mutually beneficial partnerships were the ones which required the least amount of synchronous communication.

Usually, I don’t support calls or meetings on an ongoing basis (barring exceptional circumstances). If this is a deal breaker on your end, then I may not be the best fit for you at this time.

Contact me at emilchristopheredits@gmail.com for more information. Standard edits (talking head videos) include all revisions, copyright-free music, images/video clips and other goodies to enhance viewer engagement. Instagram teasers and Youtube shorts (60 seconds or less) are priced at lower rates appropriately.

More involved, longer, or 4K resolution videos, usually go for more. Similarly, trailer videos can be more costly, depending on the amount of work involved.

I’ll let you know the exact rate for similar videos after completing a first edit or checking your requirements (see “Get Started” page for instructions!).

Generally, you can expect the 1st version of a 10-minute social media video to be ready within 24 hours. However, please allow for a minimum of 48 hours since you may want to make revisions to that first version.

No contract. You can commission as few or as many videos as you’d like. You can also stop working with me at any time.

I’ll invoice you for completed work once or twice a month, depending on the volume of work.

You’ll receive a Paypal invoice once or twice a month for all previously completed work. You can complete this payment with most credit and debit cards in the market.

You don’t have to pay in advance, but I reserve the right to interrupt service due to pending payments.

Upload the files to a google drive folder (dropbox, or other) and send me an email at emilchristopheredits@gmail.com with an access link. Please make sure the link has “everyone with the link can access” permissions, as requesting permissions often slows down delivery by a day or more.

Yes. If you hate your first Low-Cost edit with me, you don’t have to pay for it (just let me know and I won’t bill you!).

We can include short animations or motion graphics, but that’s not our specialty. If you need a full-blown animation project, I may not be the best fit.

Clients usually choose me and the team for the following reasons:

Reliability: an editor can have an emergency or quit on short notice. When you work with us, you have a team of editors and admin that can do your project on a tight deadline.

Talent: finding and recruiting the right talent (even if outsourced) can be time-consuming. We do all of this for you, so you can focus on more pressing concerns.

Savings: you’ll find that our rates are very competitive and often produce substantial savings in comparison to in-house video editors and other independent contractors.

You will be assigned to a single team member who will work on all of your videos. This ensures the style and feel of your brand is cohesive across all your videos.

Most of our admin and video editors work in the Americas and interact with our clients in California and New York daily.

We also have a small team of capable video editors in Asia. This not only allows us to work on your project during business hours, but also while you sleep.

Quite a bit! Some clients have even surprised us with bonus payments! We’ve included testimonials and client results here.

We’ll send you an access link where you can watch and download the edited video at your own convenience. We perform all communications through email.

Adobe Premiere Pro is our main tool since it’s widely used by our clientele. But we’re also proficient with other popular editing tools.

We’ll provide project files upon request. But please let us know of your software preferences so we can provide the project file in the software of your choosing, based on availability.

We don’t own the copyright on any of our clients’ videos, so we may only share or publish a video as a work sample on a case by case basis.

Revisions are normal and expected. Our policy allows for two major revisions per video. But we’re open to do as many tweaks as needed.

We provide real-time review options for ongoing clients upon request. This feature is costly on our end, so we reserve the right to charge an extra fee for this service.

Since the video’s publisher needs to comply with copyright laws, we generally use copyright-free music and B-roll unless you have the rights to use special compositions (an Epidemic Sound membership for example).

In the latter case, we may use such elements for the video edit, provided you give us written authorization.
